During Brazil’s recent 1-0 loss to Argentina in a heated 2026 World Cup qualifier, the center-back, feeling muscle discomfort, had to be substituted by Nino at halftime. Marquinhos, acknowledging a strain on his hamstring, left the match. After returning to Paris and undergoing further examinations, the extent of his injury was determined.

A PSG statement clarified, “Victim of a small injury to his right hamstring, Marquinhos will remain in treatment for 10 days.”
