Should Rob Page’s team emerge victorious in that match, their next challenge will be against either Poland or Estonia to secure a spot in the Euros.

Despite Wales falling short of automatic qualification, finishing third in their group, trailing four points behind Croatia, they remain undefeated in four competitive games. This streak might quietly bolster their confidence in aiming for a third consecutive major tournament appearance.

Their optimism is further fueled by an unbeaten record against Finland in their past four encounters dating back to 2013. Yet, Markku Kanerva’s team holds a strong record, winning six of their last nine matches, including a recent 4-0 victory against Northern Ireland.

Looking ahead, a potential showdown with Poland raises concerns for Wales, considering they’ve only managed one win in ten attempts against them, and that solitary victory occurred back in 1973.

Elsewhere in Path B, Israel squares off against Iceland, with the winner advancing to face the victor of Bosnia & Herzegovina versus Ukraine in the final clash. In Path C, Georgia meets Luxembourg, while Greece takes on Kazakhstan in battles to secure a place in Germany.

Scheduled for March 21, the semi-final ties precede the three finals set for March 26. Ukraine holds aspirations for qualification, having narrowly missed securing an automatic spot in a group featuring Euro 2020 finalists England and Italy.

Many fans believe Ukraine deserved a place after a VAR decision denied them a penalty in a 0-0 draw against Italy, a result that saw them miss out on second place due to goal difference.
