Kim Min-jae’s time in Munich since his move to Germany this summer has been positive, yet the city hasn’t reciprocated in kind.

Shortly after arriving at Bayern, the South Korean footballer reportedly fell victim to a robbery.

The audacious thieves took advantage while he was in the process of settling into his new home.

As per Bild, a thief opportunistically snatched Kim’s rice cooker when he momentarily left it outside while bringing in another box.

This kitchen appliance was a gift from his advisor, Dee Hong, and might not have even been used at that point.

Despite this unsettling incident, Kim hasn’t allowed it to distract him from making a strong start to his tenure in Bavaria.

The 27-year-old has seamlessly replaced Dutch star Matthijs de Ligt in Bayern’s starting lineup, proving to be a consistent presence for the German powerhouse this season.

Kim’s acquisition by Die Roten came after Bayern reportedly activated his £50 million release clause, making him the most expensive Asian footballer in history.

His performances have justified the price tag, contributing to Bayern’s impressive defensive record, which is the best in the Bundesliga.

Moreover, the club has already secured a place in the Champions League knockout stages with two games to spare, despite not managing to keep a clean sheet in Europe so far this season.

Harry Kane, another recent addition to the team, has been instrumental, netting four goals in the Champions League and trailing just one behind the tournament’s top scorers.

Fortunately, Kim received swift assistance from Hong, who promptly replaced the stolen rice cooker with a new one from South Korea, ensuring his player’s comfort off the field.
