A trio of players from Newcastle outperformed iShowSpeed and his companions in a recent Fortnite battle. The American YouTuber expressed frustration with a loud expletive upon being eliminated by Toon winger Harvey Barnes, who was playing alongside a couple of his teammates from the club. iShowSpeed seemed unaware of Barnes’ identity and queried angrily during his livestream, “Who the f*** is Harvey Barnes, bro?”

Whether it was indeed the former Leicester star or someone impersonating him remains uncertain. However, vigilant fans were convinced it was Barnes, especially after noticing that Speed’s teammates were eliminated by gamers using the aliases Anthony Gordon and Paul Dummett.

Fans found the situation amusing, particularly because Speed seemed oblivious to the fame of his opponents. One Xbox user humorously commented, “I’m creased some Fortnite pro players and Speed got butchered by Harvey Barnes, Paul Dummett and Anthony Gordon at 1am.”

Another fan chuckled, “He accused of Harvey Barnes of hacking hahah,” A third person remarked, “The goat Paul Dummett strikes again,” while a fourth added, “Anthony Gordon pissing people off wherever he goes after that Arsenal winner.”

Barnes moved to Newcastle from Leicester during the summer following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League. Although the 25-year-old made a promising start at St James’ Park, he has been sidelined due to a foot injury since September.

Meanwhile, Gordon has hit his stride this season after a challenging initial period in the north-east post his move from Everton in January. The 22-year-old has scored four goals in 10 Premier League games, including a contentious winner against Arsenal earlier this month.

On the other hand, Dummett has seen limited action for Newcastle this season, with only two League Cup appearances to his name. He hasn’t been a regular in the Magpies’ lineup since the 2020/21 season, despite accumulating over 200 appearances for the club during his decade-long tenure in the first-team squad.
