The Red Devils revealed today that Richard Arnold, after a 16-year tenure with the club, will step down from his role as CEO.

Patrick Stewart will serve as the interim Chief Executive during this transition period.

talkSPORT has indicated that Blanc is being considered as Arnold’s permanent successor.

Blanc, who currently manages the sporting ventures at INEOS, owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is being lined up for the role.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the British billionaire set to acquire 25 percent of Manchester United soon, is reportedly behind the decision to replace Arnold with Blanc.

Jean-Claude Blanc boasts a football-oriented background, having previously worked with Paris Saint Germain and Juventus.

The 60-year-old served as a sports marketing executive for PSG and briefly held the CEO position at Juventus.

Ratcliffe and his team are anticipated to assume control of football operations upon finalizing the takeover.
