The 2022-23 season witnessed a record-breaking profit of £80.4 million ($100 million) in the Premier League, establishing a new high for both the club and the league, compared to last year’s £41.7 million ($52 million). Additionally, City’s wage bill experienced a significant surge, reaching an unprecedented £423 million ($527 million) from £70 million ($87.3 million), attributed in part to the arrival of star striker Erling Haaland, marking the highest amount in the history of English football.
