Football greats from Manchester United and England gathered in large numbers to bid farewell to Sir Bobby Charlton. The legendary midfielder, aged 86, passed away following an accidental fall at his care home.

The football world expressed tributes for the iconic player, recognizing his extensive charitable work and his resilience after surviving the tragic 1958 Munich air disaster, which claimed the lives of 23 individuals, including several United players.

Despite the absence of United’s owners, the Glazer family, who chose not to attend the funeral, a multitude of other football legends, including Wayne Rooney, Sir Alex Ferguson, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and many more, joined the mourners in giving a heartfelt goodbye to Charlton.

Notably, current United manager Erik ten Hag was unable to attend due to an “unbreakable and long-standing personal commitment in the Netherlands.”
