Italy’s premier football division has witnessed a shifting hierarchy of teams ever since Juventus’ era of dominance ended. Inter Milan and AC Milan each secured a title, and Napoli emerged as the champions in the last season.

Exciting clubs like Jose Mourinho’s Roma, Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio, and Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta all harbor European and trophy aspirations, underscoring the league’s fierce competition.

On the other hand, teams like Monza, Salernitana, Empoli, and Cagliari might face challenges this season, but they possess the capability to pose a threat to the top-tier teams when they are in form.

At present, Inter Milan is asserting its supremacy in Serie A. Following their victory over Torino on October 21st, they ascended to the summit of the Italian top-flight league, placing AC Milan and Juventus in a precarious position as they prepare to face each other.

Inter’s midfielder, Davide Frattesi, acknowledged the significance of Saturday’s triumph over Torino, especially with Milan and Juventus set to clash: ‘We have an important target.’

Frattesi, who entered the game in the second half of Inter’s 3-0 win against Torino on Saturday, expressed his desire for more playing time: “The more I play, the better. I must play more games because I was injured before the international break,” he told Inter TV.

“However, I have recovered now and I am recharged. We have a big target and we must continue to pursue it.”

“Now we focus on the Champions League, but then we’ll keep both eyes on the league. We are Inter and we are obliged to win. A draw feels like a defeat here; this mentality gives you something more.”

“Our strength emerged as soon as Torino dropped a little. It was too important to win this game given the game between Milan and Juventus.”
