Jadon Sancho’s challenging time at Manchester United, solitary training and transfer listing

Jadon Sancho, a winger, may be sold by Manchester United in January as he has not shown regret to Erik ten Hag following his benching during last month's loss at Arsenal.

Jadon Sancho Put On Manchester United Transfer List

Jadon Sancho finds himself in an isolated training and dining situation away from his Manchester United teammates at Carrington, as the club gears up to offload the winger in January.

The 23-year-old has not seen any playing time since his exclusion from the Manchester United squad prior to their Premier League match against Arsenal last month.

Erik ten Hag, in his post-match interview, cited Sancho’s subpar training performances as the reason behind his exclusion.

However, the England international vehemently disagreed with this assessment and promptly responded through a strongly-worded statement on social media.

Sancho asserted that he is being unfairly singled out and believes that there are other underlying factors affecting his selection, beyond just his training performance.

In response to his outburst, Ten Hag has removed him from the first-team squad, and as reported by the Daily Mail, Sancho now trains in isolation at the academy facilities and is not permitted to dine or interact with his fellow players.

Furthermore, the report suggests that Sancho even has to lock the door to prevent potential safeguarding issues arising from senior players interacting with minors.

While Sancho could return to the senior squad at United if he offers a sincere and comprehensive apology to Ten Hag, he has yet to make any such declaration and shows no signs of relenting, despite appeals from United teammates, including Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, and Luke Shaw.

In the meantime, the United leadership is actively making arrangements for his departure during the January transfer window, as reported by Mirror Sport.

United invested £73 million in acquiring Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, but he has fallen short of the high expectations, managing to score only 12 goals in 82 appearances.

In the previous season, Ten Hag granted Sancho around three months off to address physical and mental issues.

Sancho made his return to action in February and notched his first goal after returning against Leeds.

However, following his appearances as a substitute in the initial three Premier League matches of the current season, Sancho was left out of the squad before Manchester United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal.

Al-Ettifaq had expressed interest in a loan deal for Sancho before the Saudi Arabia transfer window closed last month.

However, a potential transfer deal fell through after United insisted on a £50 million obligation to buy Sancho when his temporary stint concluded, a sum that Steven Gerrard’s team could not afford.
