Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed concern about Bukayo Saka’s injury sustained during a recent Champions League match against Lance. Saka played a key role in setting up a goal for striker Gabriel Jesus but had to be substituted in the 34th minute due to a muscle injury.

Arteta stated, “We don’t know more about it yet. His injury is a cause for concern, and it could potentially keep him out of upcoming matches.”

Saka, a 22-year-old talent from Bournemouth, has now been substituted in two consecutive games due to injuries, raising doubts about his availability for the upcoming match against Manchester City. When asked if he regretted using Saka against Lance, Arteta defended his decision, explaining, “Saka had a minor injury concern after the previous game against Bournemouth, but he seemed fine.

Unfortunately, he felt muscle pain in the back of his leg while attempting to kick the ball, leading to his substitution. These things happen in football, and he doesn’t usually miss many games. He was also substituted in the Carabao Cup match against Brentford but quickly recovered.”

The match between Arsenal and RC Lens ended in a 2-1 victory for RC Lens. Here are the highlights.
