In 2014, she reached the Wimbledon final before succumbing to Petra Kvitova, following strong performances in the Australian and French Opens, where she reached the semi-finals. That year, she achieved a career-high ranking of World No.5, but her ranking has since experienced a significant decline.
Bouchard appears to be regaining her confidence on the court and has found happiness off it as well. Supporting her in the front row on Wednesday was her boyfriend, Jack Brinkley-Cook, who happens to be the son of model Christie Brinkley.
Bouchard and Brinkley-Cook publicly acknowledged their relationship in October of the previous year, and their bond appears to be flourishing. Bouchard has been open about her romantic life in the past, even expressing her desire for companionship during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Tennis journalist Jose Morgado, who observed Brinkley-Cook’s presence on Wednesday, described him as “undoubtedly the most enthusiastic supporter in town.”
