In a scene reminiscent of a classic comedy film, this playful pup made a grand entrance onto the field at the end of regular time. Its singular focus was on the soccer ball, which had just been retrieved from a cross by Dorados’ substitute goalkeeper, Hernan Mendoza. Wisely, Mendoza let go of the ball, and after a brief dribble, the ball was under the dog’s control.
A well-meaning but hapless steward attempted to restrain the dog with a piece of rope, but his efforts proved futile, leading to a comical chase across the field.
