Micah Richards realized he had made it as a professional footballer when an agent took him to a strip club after his debut for Manchester City.
At the age of 17, Richards played his first game for his beloved club in 2005. Throughout that season, he made 16 appearances and eventually became an important player for Manchester City.
In his career at the club, he won a Premier League title and an FA Cup, scoring nine goals in 245 games.
Richards shared this significant moment during an interview on The Rest Is Football podcast with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
As a young and inexperienced player, he was highly sought after by football agents, and one of them took him out in a Ferrari and treated him to a steak dinner.
However, the night didn’t end there, as the agent eventually took Richards to a strip club. It was at that moment that Richards realized he had reached the big time and had achieved success as a professional footballer.
