Following the international break, the Premier League roared back to life with a thrilling start as Liverpool, coming from behind, secured a 3-1 victory over Wolves in the first match of match day five.

This propelled the Reds to the summit of the league table, although their stay at the top was brief.

Manchester City, staging a remarkable comeback, reclaimed the lead by defeating West Ham.

Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, City remains the sole team with an unblemished record, having triumphed in all six matches to kick off the year, including a convincing 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

On the other hand, their neighbours across the city, Manchester United, find themselves in a rather mediocre position within the league standings, currently sitting in eighth place.

However, they managed to improve their standing with a victory over Burnley. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s remarkable late surge against Sheffield United has placed them in a favourable position in the race for Champions League qualification.

Arsenal joined Liverpool and Tottenham with 13 points after a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over a struggling Everton side. This victory ended their five-match winless streak at Goodison Park. The Gunners are now gearing up for a showdown with league leaders Manchester City at The Emirates, although they will be without City midfielder Rodri, who is serving a suspension following a red card.

At the other end of the spectrum, Burnley and Luton Town find themselves among the five teams yet to secure a victory this season, alongside Bournemouth, Sheffield United, and Everton.
