In accomplishing this feat, the England captain etched his name in the annals of history as the first player ever to score six or more goals in their initial five Bundesliga matches. Kane’s summer was filled with uncertainty as Bayern engaged in prolonged negotiations with Tottenham over his transfer.

In a dramatic turn of events, he bid farewell to his childhood club just before the start of the Premier League season in a £104 million transfer, making his Bayern debut on the same day. Prior to today’s game, the former Spurs player had already notched up four goals in four Bundesliga matches, along with an additional goal in the Champions League against Manchester United.

In today’s match against the struggling Bochum, Kane took center stage with a clinical performance. Bayern took an early lead with a goal from Kane’s strike partner Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the fourth minute. Kane himself wasted no time, adding another goal with a low shot in the 12th minute. He had a chance to score again shortly after but sent a shot over the bar. Nevertheless, Bayern continued to dominate, with Matthijs de Ligt and Leroy Sane scoring, making it 4-0 by halftime.

Kane secured his second goal just nine minutes into the second half, calmly slotting home a penalty in his trademark style. Wonderkid Mathys Tel extended the lead to 6-0 with nine minutes remaining, before Kane sealed his hat-trick with a close-range finish, bringing the score to 7-0.

However, it’s worth noting that, according to the German definition of a hat-trick, Kane did not achieve one today. This definition requires three consecutive goals in a game, and as Kane’s treble was interspersed with goals from his teammates, it doesn’t meet the Bundesliga’s criteria.

After the game, Kane shared a picture of himself with the match ball, captioned: “A new one for the collection!”

Earlier this week, Thomas Tuchel expressed his enthusiasm for the impact of his new signing, saying, “It’s a big thing, we took the skipper of England out of England.”

“Anyone looking for a No9 would’ve been happy to have Harry in the team. “He makes the team better and gives you what you want from a man.”

“He can drop deep, turn, use speed of players around him, he can arrive in the box at the right time, he’s an excellent finisher and good penalty taker.”

“I’m not sure what’s going on at other clubs but we’re more than happy that he finally took the decision and came to make us better.”
