In an interview, Tevez explained that his uncle had served in Liverpool and was called up for the Falklands War (Malvinas conflict). Following the war, his uncle struggled with alcoholism, which deeply affected Tevez and his family. Due to these experiences, Tevez expressed a reluctance to embrace English culture.
“I didn’t want to learn English because there was a cultural problem with them. I wanted them to learn Spanish,” Tevez stated, emphasizing his attachment to his native language and cultural background.
Carlos Tevez retired from professional football in 2022 after a successful career, primarily with Boca Juniors in Argentina.
