As per information reported by Gazzetta in Italy, the ex-Real Madrid striker is initiating legal proceedings against Juventus for an outstanding €20 million (£17 million/$21 million) payment that he has yet to receive.
Allegedly, this sum was deferred during the pandemic, with an agreement in place that it would be settled once Juventus had navigated through the worst financial repercussions of that period.
However, it’s now being reported that Ronaldo has not received the owed amount.
Back in the summer of 2018, the 38-year-old inked a four-year contract with Juventus before subsequently returning to Manchester United and later moving to the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Nassr in January of this year.
The outcome of Ronaldo’s legal pursuit remains uncertain, and it raises questions about the potential repercussions for Juventus. Notably, his former Juventus teammate, Leandro Bonucci, is also contemplating legal action against the club for a different issue.
