WHAT OCCURED? This summer, Lukaku will eventually leave Chelsea after agreeing to a loan deal with AS Roma. According to the Independent, the trade was completed when Roma manager Mourinho called the attacker and persuaded him to return to Italy.
THE GENERAL IMAGE: The 30-year-old was allegedly informed by Mourinho, who previously worked with Lukaku at Chelsea, “We have a good team but we are missing a champion.” The manager also described how Lukaku will complement Paulo Dybala up front for Roma.
Following the expiration of his loan agreement with Inter at the end of the 2022–23 season, Lukaku returned to London this summer. Although a move to Inter this summer was first predicted, it ultimately did not happen.
