Ruibales’ mother goes on a hunger fast to protest her son’s ‘bloody search.’

Luis Rubiales, the head of the Spanish football federation, has been suspended by FIFA for an unprovoked kiss on midfielder Jenni Hermoso. Rubiales, who was reportedly criticized for the kiss, has resisted criticism and has referred to it as "spontaneous, mutual, euphoric, and consensual." His mother, Angeles Bejar, has declared her strike will continue until a solution is found to the inhumane and bloody hunt against her son. Rubiales has declined to resign and has stated that he will defend himself legally before the appropriate bodies.

According to Spain’s EFE news agency, Luis Rubiales’ mother went on a hunger strike in protest of her son’s “inhumane treatment” as the head of the Spanish football federation, who has come under fire for an unprovoked kiss on midfielder Jenni Hermoso.

According to the story on Monday, Angeles Bejar declared that her strike will continue “until a solution is found to the inhumane and bloody hunt they are carrying out against my son with something he does not deserve.”

Nearly a week after giving the star of the national team an uninvited kiss on the mouth at the awards ceremony following Spain’s victory in the Women’s World Cup in Sydney, Rubiales was suspended by FIFA on Saturday.

EFE claims that when the parish priest left the Divina Pastora parish church in Motril, Rubiales’s birthplace in southern Spain, Bejar and her sister remained inside.

According to EFE, she urged Hermoso to be truthful and “stick to the version she gave at the beginning.”

Bejar told EFE that the pictures “prove there is no sexual abuse because there is consent on both sides” and that she wondered “why they’re taking it out on him” and “what is behind this whole story.” “My son is incapable of hurting anyone,” Bejar declared.

Rubiales, 46, has resisted criticism of the kiss that Hermoso, her teammates, and the Spanish government have deemed inappropriate, insisting that it was consensual.

Rubiales, who had been widely anticipated to resign, declined to do so at a federation meeting on Friday. He attempted to explain his actions and referred to the kiss as “spontaneous, mutual, euphoric, and consensual.”

In a statement on his behalf, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) stated that Rubiales “will defend himself legally before the appropriate bodies” to demonstrate “his complete innocence.”

Hermoso said that she did not agree to the kiss and felt “vulnerable and the victim of an aggression”.
