25 August (Reuters) With a leg muscle issue, Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr. will miss their upcoming LaLiga match against Getafe at home, according to coach Carlo Ancelotti, whose team defeated Celta Vigo on Friday.

The 23-year-old, who was replaced after 15 minutes, may also miss the beginning of Brazil’s World Cup qualifying campaign. On September 2, Real will play Getafe, and six days later, Brazil will host Bolivia before leaving on September 12 for Peru.

Ancelotti said that Vinicius’ injury was not serious, unlike those sustained by defender Eder Militao and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois earlier this season, and he was optimistic that Vinicius would heal in time to play again after the current international break.

“Vinicius has been experiencing some leg muscular pain. It wasn’t something really serious. The Italian told reporters, “He attempted to play, but it was affecting him, so we chose to sub him.

The left winger, who has 28 goals and 19 assists for Real since the start of last season, has sustained his first muscle ailment.

Ancelotti stated that despite injuries and the loss of Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema to the Saudi Pro League, Real will not pursue new acquisitions since his roster is already enough.

“The squad is complete. The roster is well-balanced if we can succeed without Courtois, Militao, Karim, and Vinicius. They’ve performed admirably, he remarked.

Real, the league’s early leaders, has won all three of their games.
