AUGUST 20TH, BARCELONA (Reuters) – Barcelona defeated Cadiz 2-0 in the second half thanks to goals from Pedri and Ferran Torres, who also made a number of outstanding saves on Sunday. This was Barcelona’s first LaLiga victory of the year.
Lamine Yamal, a 16-year-old striker starting for Barcelona in place of the suspended Raphinha, had two early shots blocked by Ledesma, who displayed excellent reactions.

Torres, a substitute, capitalized on a counterattack to give Barca the victory when he raced onto a header from Robert Lewandowski and finished well.
Getafe had held Barcelona to a scoreless draw in their season-opening game the previous Saturday.
Manager Xavi Hernandez told Movistar Plus, “It appeared like the ball was not going to go in today and it did.
“We predicted it was a day to keep a lot of possession, and in the second half we were more patient, were better in positional play, took risks, and a pass from Gundogan to Pedri gave us what we needed.”
