21 August (Reuters) Sergino Dest, a defender for Barcelona, has joined PSV Eindhoven on a temporary basis till the end of June 2024, the LaLiga team said on Monday.
Barca would get a cut of any future sales of the player and the Dutch club has the option to make the trade permanent.
The 22-year-old left Ajax Amsterdam for Barcelona in 2020 for 21 million euros ($22.87 million). In his first two seasons with Barcelona, he played in 51 league games, but he spent the previous season on loan with AC Milan.
The American who was born in the Netherlands had a poor spell playing for the Italian team, appearing in just eight Serie A games before leaving for Spain.
Dest, a player in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, has two goals in 26 games for the United States.
