After drawing 1-1 with Chelsea in their opening league match, Liverpool entered the encounter seeking their first victory of the year.

Three minutes into the game, the visitors unexpectedly seized the lead thanks to Antoine Semenyo, giving Jurgen Klopp’s team the worst possible start.

However, Luis Diaz brought the Reds back into the contest when he skillfully swiveled a low cross from Diogo Jota into the goal. Dominik Szoboszlai was brought down in the box after being tripped by Joe Rothwell, giving Liverpool the opportunity to take the lead.

After Neto saved his penalty attempt, Salah went up and buried his eighth goal against Bournemouth in his career.
