Reuters, August 18, LONDON – Aleksandar Mitrovic, a prospective Saudi acquisition, will miss Fulham’s Saturday home Premier League game against Brentford due to an injury, according to manager Marco Silva.
Despite having three years remaining on his contract, Mitrovic has drawn attention from Saudi Arabia. The West Londoners allegedly turned down a 25 million pound ($31.83 million) offer from Pro League club Al-Hilal last month.
According to reports in the British media, Riyadh-based Al-Hilal has recently returned with a significantly better offer of about 46 million pounds.
Silva informed reporters on Friday that only Mitrovic would be out of the game; all the other players will be prepared.
Because of an ankle issue from the previous game, he is unable to practice with his teammates and is out of the game.
Silva claimed he was unaware of any accepted offers for the Serb.
The Portuguese continued, “The injury is not going to be anything major where he would be out of competition for three to four weeks.
