Reuters, August 18, LONDON – After a collision of heads in the 2-2 draw at Brentford last weekend, Argentine defender Cristian Romero is fit to play for Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United on Saturday at home, according to manager Ange Postecoglou.

At the Community Stadium, Romero headed in Spurs’ first Premier League goal of the season after 11 minutes, although he was later removed due to a suspected concussion.

“Cristian is all set. He has undoubtedly been in the care of the medical staff who have followed all the rules. All the boxes have been checked, and he has felt well all week, Postecoglou told reporters on Friday.

“Aside from that, nothing has changed from last week.”

Before the transfer window closes, Postecoglou said that there will likely be additional activity, with an emphasis on younger players.

The Australian stated, “The truth is we can’t just keep signing guys. “That has an impact on the athletes and on training.

Our current goal is to reduce the team size and see where it leads us.

The manager’s home league debut comes on Saturday, but the Australian claimed he wasn’t yet at ease with the crowd yelling his name.
