£67.5 MILLION. Arsenal’s huge offer for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz

Chelsea and Arsenal have reached a £67.5 million contract agreement for forward Kai Havertz, with an estimated value of £62.5 million and performance-related add-ons.

Kai Havertz, a forward for Chelsea, and Arsenal have reached a contract agreement worth up to £67.5 million ($85.8 million), according to sources.

Wednesday’s negotiations moved fast toward a contract that Chelsea has estimated to be worth £62.5 million ($79.4 million) plus a further £5 million ($6.3 million) in performance-related add-ons.

As the Arsenal work to forward agreements for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, Havertz is on the verge of being Mikel Arteta’s first summer addition.

Havertz reportedly told the Blues he has no interest in signing a new deal with the team on Monday, according to ESPN.Chelsea does not want to be in a position where the 24-year-old runs out his contract and loses value as a result. His current contract expires in 2025. Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of Chelsea, wants to overhaul his forward line this summer and is willing to let Havertz leave.
