Harry Kane is a fantastic example with his incredible professionalism. Unfortunately, after scoring a penalty against France on Saturday during the World Cup quarter-final, Harry missed a second one
Harry esponded to his devastating penalty miss, which cost England dearly as they lost 2-1 to France, by saying he is “absolutely gutted” and acknowledging there is “no hiding from it; it hurts.”
When Kane converted a penalty kick to tie the score at 1-1 in the 54th minute and tie Wayne Rooney on goals with 53, the England team rallied around their top scorer. However, six minutes before the final whistle, Kane missed another opportunity to make it 2-2.
He wrote: “Absolutely gutted. We’ve given it everything and it’s come down to a small detail which I take responsibility for. There’s no hiding from it, it hurts and it’ll take some time to get over it but that’s part of sport. Now it’s about using the experience to be mentally and physically stronger for the next challenge. Thanks for all the support throughout the tournament – it means a lot. ”
