Adidas has released a new commercial as part of their ‘impossible is nothing campaign,’ featuring none other than Messi himself. The commercial is spectacular: it brings to life the iconic younger versions of the players we’ve seen at World Cups since 2006.

Last month, Lionel Messi announced that the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 would be his last. This will be his final attempt to win the one trophy that has eluded him throughout his illustrious career. He came close in 2014 when Argentina was defeated 1-0 in the final by Germany.

Messi plays a ‘rondo’ against himself in the 30-second video. Adidas was able to create a video that is a worthy homage to arguably one of football’s greatest and most iconic players by combining impressive artificial intelligence and the PSG man himself.
