Scott McTominay appears to be nursing an injury from the FA Cup final while on holiday. The Scotland international played the full 90 minutes in Manchester United’s unexpected triumph over Manchester City last Saturday. McTominay, 27, hobbled off the pitch in added time, replaced by Mason Mount.

Currently on a well-deserved holiday in Ibiza with friends, including former United midfielder Michael Carrick, McTominay seems to still be in discomfort. A viral video shows McTominay sitting poolside, indicating to Carrick that his right leg is still bothering him. Concerned fans quickly reacted, with some questioning the quick transition from the UK to Spain. Comments on social media included, “They got to Spain from the UK within 24 hours,” and “Hardly had time to celebrate as a team.”

One Scotland fan demanded, “Get your a**e to the Scotland camp!” Scotland manager Steve Clarke will be anxious about McTominay’s fitness, as he was crucial in their Euro 2024 qualification, scoring seven goals in ten matches. It’s currently unclear if McTominay will participate in Scotland’s warm-up matches against Gibraltar and Finland next week. Scotland’s Euro campaign kicks off with a challenging Group A match against hosts Germany.
