Eddie Nketiah’s transfer to Nottingham Forest has collapsed after failing to agree on personal terms. Arsenal and Forest had negotiated a £30m fee, but the move broke down. Crystal Palace have now entered the race, seeing Nketiah as competition for Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The South London club is considering a loan deal with an obligation to buy, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Nketiah, 25, is seeking more first-team football after expressing his frustrations to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta. With a contract until June 2027, Arsenal may still sell him if a suitable offer arrives. Forest, meanwhile, is looking to strengthen their attack, which includes Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Arsenal may need to enter the transfer market for another striker, as Gabriel Jesus faces a possible layoff due to a groin injury. Nketiah has been with Arsenal since 2015, joining from Chelsea’s youth system and earning one England cap.
