According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Arsenal is seriously contemplating a potential departure for Aaron Ramsdale before the summer transfer window closes, following an attractive offer from Premier League side Wolves. Wolves are proposing an initial loan for Ramsdale with a mandatory purchase option for next season and are prepared to cover most of his wages for the 2024-25 campaign.

Previously, Arsenal turned down a loan offer from Ajax, preferring not to let Ramsdale go temporarily. Southampton also expressed interest earlier in the summer. Ramsdale’s current contract with Arsenal runs until 2026, with an additional 12-month extension option.

Arsenal had shown interest in Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley as a backup to David Raya, but it’s uncertain if Bentley might be included in any deal involving Ramsdale.
