Napoli is hopeful to finalize a €15 million transfer package with Brighton & Hove Albion for Billy Gilmour on Wednesday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations advanced today and only the final details of the agreement remain.
Gilmour has agreed to personal terms on a contract worth approximately €2 million per season and is enthusiastic about working with Antonio Conte in Italy.
Brighton is prepared to accept €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the Scotland international.
Napoli is confident that most of the groundwork is completed and plans to schedule Gilmour’s medical examination starting tomorrow.
Gilmour, who turned 23 in June, previously trained with the youth academies of Glasgow Rangers and Chelsea. He had a loan spell at Norwich during the 2021-22 season before his €8.3 million transfer to Brighton that summer.
The midfielder has already earned 30 senior caps for Scotland and has scored once.
