Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is reportedly a top target for Bournemouth as the Cherries look to bolster their attack following Dominic Solanke’s £65 million transfer to Tottenham. Nketiah, 25, has struggled for regular playing time under Mikel Arteta and could be on his way out of the Emirates this summer. Despite signing a lucrative five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week just two years ago, Arsenal is now open to letting him leave.

Earlier in the transfer window, Nketiah was the subject of a bid from Marseille, but the deal collapsed after the French club refused to meet Arsenal’s £30 million asking price. However, Bournemouth has now entered the fray, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that talks have already begun. The Cherries also attempted to sign Porto’s Evanilson but had their bid rejected, prompting them to turn their attention to Nketiah.

If Arsenal does decide to sell Nketiah, it could pave the way for reinforcements. Mikel Merino of Real Sociedad remains a top target, especially after being left out of Sociedad’s recent squad against Union Berlin. Additionally, Arsenal has been linked with Sporting’s £70 million-rated striker Viktor Gyokeres, although they have missed out on long-term target Pedro Neto, who recently joined Chelsea.
