Multiple sources report tonight that David De Gea has agreed to personal terms with Fiorentina as a free agent. The deal includes a one-year contract with an option to extend, and he is expected to travel to Florence for a medical examination soon.

De Gea has been inactive in football for over a year, having parted ways with Manchester United in July 2023 due to a lack of enticing opportunities. Now, nearing his 34th birthday, he is embarking on a new challenge in Serie A.

According to Sportitalia’s transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the contract will be worth €1 million per season plus bonuses, with the possibility of a one-year extension that would increase his salary to €2 million.

De Gea is anticipated to arrive in Florence within the next 48 hours for his medical check-up, as Fiorentina prepares to start their season later this month.

Previously, De Gea began his career with Atletico Madrid before joining Manchester United in 2011.

Meanwhile, Pietro Terracciano is expected to leave Fiorentina, with Monza or Genoa being potential destinations for him.
