Atalanta director Luca Percassi has confirmed that there have been no changes regarding Teun Koopmeiners despite ongoing interest from Juventus. Percassi stated that Juventus is still far from meeting the player’s valuation.
Koopmeiners, who had a standout season helping Atalanta secure the Europa League and reach the Coppa Italia Final, has been one of the most sought-after players this summer. The 26-year-old midfielder made significant contributions with 15 goals and seven assists across 51 competitive matches.
A muscular injury prevented him from participating in EURO 2024 with the Netherlands, which might have limited the interest from other top clubs like Liverpool.
Although Koopmeiners has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Juventus, the initial €45 million offer was turned down. Atalanta is reportedly holding out for around €60 million.
At a press conference for new signing Nicolò Zaniolo, Percassi was asked about Koopmeiners and responded, “He is still here, just like before. Nothing has changed.”
Calciomercato.com also mentions that while Koopmeiners is inclined towards Juventus, he is not willing to create a conflict with Atalanta if they do not accept the current offer.
