Matias Soule to start new chapter at Roma after Juventus departure

Matias Soule has joined Roma in excellent condition and is poised to make his debut under Daniele De Rossi as the new Serie A season approaches.

The 21-year-old Argentine forward made a grand entrance to the Italian capital on Sunday evening, receiving a warm and enthusiastic welcome from Roma fans eager to see their new talent in action.

Roma secured Soule from Juventus for approximately €26 million, plus an additional €4 million in potential bonuses, successfully fending off competition from Leicester City. Soule was eager for the move, particularly to play alongside Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes.

According to today’s Corriere dello Sport, Soule underwent his medical examination with Roma on Monday before finalizing a five-year contract valued at around €1.8 million net per season, with additional bonuses.

After meeting his new teammates in Trigoria, Soule showcased his impressive fitness levels, leading Daniele De Rossi to seriously consider giving him a debut in the upcoming friendly match against Olympiacos on Saturday.
