Norwegian international Erling Haaland met former Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic before a match at Yankee Stadium in New York. In that game, City’s star striker scored the opening goal within 19 minutes.
However, City faced another high-scoring defeat, losing 3-2 after previously falling 4-3 to Celtic. The reigning Premier League champions struggled on the specially constructed pitch at the iconic baseball venue.
Pep Guardiola isn’t too concerned about these pre-season results, focusing instead on building fitness. Haaland has been finding the net consistently and was all smiles when he met Ibrahimovic, now a special advisor at AC Milan.
Haaland presented Ibrahimovic with a signed City shirt, and the charismatic Swede mentioned they needed “no filters” for their photos together. Milan, featuring USMNT star Christian Pulisic, have upcoming matches against Barcelona and Real Madrid during their U.S. tour, while City will face Barcelona and Chelsea next.
