Nottingham Forest are considering a loan move for Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants Ramsdale, 26, as his first-choice keeper, but Forest cannot meet Arsenal’s £50 million asking price.

Instead, Forest is willing to cover Ramsdale’s wages and offer a substantial bonus to secure a loan deal late in the transfer window. While no suitable bids have emerged for Ramsdale, several Premier League clubs are interested.

Forest’s other target, Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone, is also in demand, with Wolves, Leicester, Southampton, and Bournemouth looking for a proven keeper. Palace may face issues with Johnstone as Dean Henderson is set to be their first choice.

Arsenal needs to replace Ramsdale and are struggling to secure Wolves’ Dan Bentley, with Mikel Arteta considering alternatives. Palace are eyeing Plymouth’s Michael Cooper as a potential replacement for Johnstone, with Sheffield United also showing interest but yet to meet the £3 million asking price.
