Everton have officially confirmed the loan signing of Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli, with an option to purchase included in the deal.
The 24-year-old Danish midfielder struggled to make an impact during his first season with Napoli after a €30m move from Eintracht Frankfurt. He managed only 587 minutes across 29 appearances for the Italian side.
Napoli is currently undergoing a restructuring phase under new manager Antonio Conte, focusing on revamping their squad. The club is looking to offload players to make room for new signings and is awaiting the sale of Victor Osimhen to facilitate the acquisition of Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.
As announced today, Everton have secured Lindstrom on a €2.5m loan with a €22.5m option to buy. The Toffees will cover his salary, and the agreement includes a contract extension until 2029.
Lindstrom, who showed promise in the Bundesliga, will be eager to recover his form after a challenging season in Italy.
