Victor Osimhen’s transfer from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly on the verge of collapse, providing a potential boost for three Premier League giants. The Nigerian forward, keen to leave Napoli this summer, has a £109.5 million release clause that must be met for any deal to proceed.

PSG, seeking a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, initiated negotiations through Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda. Despite discussions between club presidents and sporting directors, PSG is unwilling to trigger the hefty release clause. Attempts to lower the fee by including South Korean international Kang-In Lee, Carlos Soler, or Nordi Mukiele were unsuccessful.The impasse has reignited interest from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, who are all in need of attacking reinforcements.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has begun pre-season with Napoli under new manager Antonio Conte. The striker, who scored 17 goals in 32 games last season, was pivotal in Napoli’s 2022/23 title-winning campaign. Napoli may reconsider their stance on Osimhen if they secure Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku as a replacement.
