Arsenal have renewed their bid for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley, aiming to secure the deal for around £300,000. The Gunners have been chasing the 31-year-old, formerly of Brentford and Bristol City, for several weeks. Wolves initially demanded £1 million, but the two clubs are nearing a compromise.

Bentley, currently second choice behind Jose Sa, made just five Premier League appearances last season. Despite his limited playing time, Bentley may be enticed by the opportunity to join Arsenal, even as a third-choice keeper behind Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya. Bentley began his career at Arsenal’s academy but left at 15, later playing for Southend, Brentford, and Bristol City before joining Wolves in January 2023.

Over 18 months at Molineux, he made nine appearances, keeping three clean sheets. Arsenal’s goalkeeping options also include Estonia international Karl Hein. Additionally, the club recently signed 18-year-old Ajax keeper Tommy Setford for just under £1 million.
