Milan has emerged as a potential destination for Lukaku, who is set to return to Chelsea after a season at Roma. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 31-year-old is open to joining either Milan or Napoli, where he could reunite with his former Inter coach, Antonio Conte. Sky Sport Italia underscores that timing will be crucial in these discussions.

Milan is reportedly capable of meeting Chelsea’s €30m asking price already, whereas Napoli needs to resolve Osimhen’s situation before pursuing talks with Chelsea.

For Milan, however, there is still hesitancy regarding paying the full transfer fee demanded by Chelsea. They have scheduled further discussions with Lukaku’s representatives.

Chelsea is firm on not loaning out Lukaku again and prefers a permanent transfer deal this summer.
