The star forward experienced a disappointing 2023/24 season with United, struggling to find the back of the net and managing only eight goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. Additionally, he had a fallout with manager Erik ten Hag after being caught partying into the early morning hours before an FA Cup match against Newport.
His lackluster performance led to his exclusion from the England national team, as he did not make Gareth Southgate’s 33-man preliminary squad for Euro 2024. However, The Sun reports that Rashford is determined to make a strong comeback in the upcoming season and regain his former glory. He also expressed his satisfaction with the club’s decision to retain the Dutch manager.
According to a source quoted by The Sun, “Marcus knows one thing with Ten Hag and that is that he really rates him. He knows he’s underperformed big time but has been telling his friends that he’s coming back strong this next season.”
The 26-year-old is set to return to action next month as the Premier League giants regroup and travel to the US for pre-season, with scheduled matches against teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Rangers.
