Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, 23, has become a surprise new character in his favorite video game, Clash of Clans. Haaland, known for his love of the game, will now be featured as the Barbarian King, a notable character within Clash of Clans.
Posting on social media, Haaland expressed his excitement, stating, “From the pitch to the battlefield! I’ve been a huge fan of the game for a long time and know everything about it, so to appear as an in-game character is really cool.” Clash of Clans is one of the world’s most popular mobile games, having been downloaded over two billion times since its release over a decade ago. The game involves players building their own villages and engaging in battles with other players.
Stuart McGaw, general manager of Clash of Clans, expressed delight at the partnership, saying, “When we heard Haaland was a fan of our game and that he wanted to partner with us, it was really a dream scenario.”
