18 August (Reuters) Lucas Paqueta of West Ham United has been left off Brazil’s World Cup qualifying roster amid media claims that the English FA and FIFA have launched an investigation into alleged betting rule violations.
In the final minute, Paqueta, 25, was left out, according to interim Brazil coach Fernando Diniz, “so that he can sort out his problems.” According to Sky Sports, Paqueta denied placing any wagers personally and expressed disbelief at the reports.
