According to rumours in France, Kylian Mbappe has opted to continue playing for Paris Saint-Germain beyond this summer.
The 24-year-old attacker, whose current PSG contract is set to expire in 2024, has been the focus of the summer’s greatest transfer controversy.
Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League made a record-breaking £259 million offer for the striker, but Mbappe allegedly refused to engage with any of the club’s officials.
The 24-year-old, who PSG apparently thinks has already committed to join Real Madrid from next season, has been linked with loan transfers from both Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp downplayed Liverpool’s interest, saying in a news conference that the Reds couldn’t afford Mbappe.
